Hello RMDS families,
Thank you all for your support in the past few days, as your child/children navigate through the new world of eLearning. Truly inspiring to see how our community comes together to ensure students continue to learn during this unexpected public health crisis.
Rocky Mountain Deaf School supports Governor Jared Polis’ effort to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus in Colorado. Today, the governor ordered that all public, charter and private schools across the state suspend in-person learning from March 23rd to April 17th.
This means RMDS will continue the eLearning until April 17th with a one-week hiatus for the spring break scheduled for March 23rd to 27th. As of now, the students are expected to return to the building on the 20th of April. We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will communicate updates regarding any changes with you immediately.
Please do check RMDS’s web page, as there is updated information on districts/locations that provide Grab & Go food services to students. Any students can receive breakfast and lunch.
I am aware there is still a lot of uncertainty for the weeks ahead. And, I appreciate your continuous support as we navigate this new reality.
Stay safe and healthy!
RMDSly yours,
Amy J Novotny, Director
